Collage of thrift finds and animal toys, thinking outside the frame.
I found these two lovely bird illustrations in a thrift store. After the release from their original frame, I sliced them both in half and reframed them: one cadre holds their heads and the other one holds their backsides.
Then I beheaded various animal toys and fixed them on the outside of the framework. I painted the toys and several wooden sticks in the exact same color as the bird-illustration inside the frame, so you get a continuation (drift-effect) throughout the frame.
Now both the frameworks as well as the heads and backsides of the two birds interfere with each other.
You are free to change the sequence if you want to see a new bird-composition.
